Today, we will be taking a look at Christ Pratt’s 3-Piece suit (very) tailored wardrobe during some noticeable moments, one, in particular highlighted while gracing the cover of British GQ Magazine.
From his cowboy and western-inspired The Magnificent 7 to the action-packed sci-fi Passengers, to running amid dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, to an even more elevated and lucrative sci-fi Guardians of the Galaxy, Mr. Pratt has held down more than a few leading roles.
In this month’s The Tomorrow War (July 2021), Chris Pratt returns in all his leading man splendor, saving the world yet again in this global level extinction, time-traveling, sci-fi tale.
With numerous interviews and press releases to go around, at this magnitude of stardom, one must ensure to clothe themselves with the finest of threads (or at least hire someone to do it for you). In a recent Instagram live, Pratt made sure to give his stylist a shout-out, what a leading gentleman!
Chris Pratt Is a Fan of 3-Piece Suits
In this interview for British GQ, Chris Pratt is wearing a boardroom level 3-piece black suit. Boardroom ready, as needless to say, he looks ready to talk business. The great thing about a 3-piece suit is, you can remove the blazer and still look well put together and sophisticated. Just browse the winning photo for the British GQ cover (pictured above).
It’s All About the Vest
In this photo by Kurt Iswarienko, Christ Pratt sports a well-fitted formal vest. A well-fitting suit always makes a good impression. You’ll not only appear trim, but also organized, and you’ll give off a professional and sophisticated allure. See how quickly we pick up on those boardroom vibes?
A suit that fits bigger on your frame will, unfortunately, make you appear disheveled, the exact contrary look we are going for at this level of superstardom.
The Classic White Long Sleeve
Continuing the elegant look, Chris Pratt is rocking a tapered fitted, classic white long sleeve shirt. Notice how the sleeves are fitted against his arms, with zero excess material. For a vibe that reiterates that you mean business, always aim for a slim fit option.
The shirt features a point collar that helps reinforce the business appeal. In North America, the point collar is the default business collar. When wearing a tie, with this type of shirt collar you will not expose any of the tie on either side beyond the knot. If you look at the photo above, we only see the knot, centered between the collar, whereas a shirt with a bit of a wider collar spread would show more of the tie on either side. Again, this shirt and collar choice foster the boardroom element.
It is also important to note when wearing your suit blazer, the collar will not be covered by the jacket lapels, as we will see in the next photo. The shirt collar is always exposed!
Show Some Personality
For many men, tie options are where their personality shines. In this photo, we see Chris Pratt has opted for a black-tie featuring a white floral design. While floral designs showcased on men’s ties are usually not part of the boardroom repertoire, the black and white color scheme does reinforce the business allure. It enhances it. The very nature of a tie is inherently professional, especially in a black and white color scale. The floral design does hint at Pratt’s undeniable personality, that of a leading man with great comedic character, a nod to his Parks and Recreation era!
